Regional Results Are in for Varsity Track & Field

On 5/7/24, the varsity track and field team traveled to Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale to compete in the Class 1A Region 4 Tournament. Senior Meagan Baker qualified for the Class 1A State Championship in Shot Put with her outstanding throws and also broke her own school record in that event.

Regional results for the girls team: Baker - 5th place in Shot Put (10.05m*), 14th place in Discus (24.82m); Mia Perez - 6th place in Javelin (27.11m), 16th place in Discus (23.33m); Elizabeth Campbell - 9th place in 800m (2:33.69), 20th place in 1600m (6:27.24); Jacquelyn Perrin - 17th place in 1600m (6:18.49), 18th place in 3200m (14:11.32*); Isabella Peter - 21st in 3200m (14:59.00); 4x400 Girls Relay Team (Perez, Nahlia Hebig, Perrin, Campbell) - 8th place (4:30.06*).

Regional results for the boys team: Jack Curley - 12th place in Javelin (37.94m*), 17th place in 3200m (11:37.55); 19th place in 1600m (5:03.43); Matthew Cocks - 20th place in Discus (28.42m*); Jamin Dunham - 21st place in 3200m (11:51.26*).

Next meet is the Class 1A State Championship on 5/15/24 at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, starting at 4:00 PM.
