Expressing oneself through the Visual Arts is a fundamental part of living and learning at Saint Edward's School. From Pre-Kindergarten through grade twelve, we believe that students express themselves in a variety of mediums. We celebrate the accomplishments of our artists over the course of the year, within the School community, in the local community and regionally.

Initially students are encouraged to expand their innate creativity, their natural love of beauty and their own pleasure of expressing themselves creatively. As they progress they are encouraged to express themselves through a variety of mediums and techniques to convey ideas and feelings and engage in creative problem solving. A study of Art History begins through research and discussion. As students advance through their Upper School years they also learn how to observe, discriminate and judge throughout history, through the classroom and interdisciplinary study.
