Spotlight On: Art Sampler Moves To The Innovation Lab Studio!

The Middle School Art Sampler has been given the opportunity to meet in the Innovation Lab Studio with Ms. Buza. This amazing space is dedicated to exploring independent creativity. The classroom is set up in stations, allowing the students to choose the medium they would like to work with and the opportunity to dream and create their own final design.

Students are given a jumping-off idea, for example, a pillow. Using a variety of supplies in the classroom (sewing machines, fabrics, vinyl applique, heat press, computer design programs), they create a unique and personalized project. Other mediums available to them are clay, 3D pens, 3D printers, screen printing, felt handwork, yarn-crochet, punch needle, drawing, painting, decoupage and more. We have jumped in with both feet and are thoroughly enjoying the freedom to explore individual interests in the world of art.
