Spotlight On: The Global Expedition Project

Katie Newman
The Global Expedition Project (GEP) is a sixth-grade cross-curricular capstone project that includes the history, science and English departments. Students engage in a semester-long study of their assigned country with four focus areas: science, history, research and technology skills. The project concludes with a Global Expedition Festival in May, where students will share and present their final projects. Last month, students wrote and mailed letters to their countries’ embassies in Washington, D.C. We are thrilled to announce that embassies have begun replying! Our first country responses include an email from Croatia to Hartley Postlethwaite and a package from Germany (including a bracelet, pen, gummy bears, a book containing facts about Germany and two magazines about German life) to Stella Morris. Stay tuned for embassy delivery updates!
