Varsity Baseball Sees Rematch Against Palm Bay Magnet for Last Game of Regular Season

On 4/25/24, the varsity baseball team hosted Palm Bay Magnet High School on Blue Diamond Field for their last game of the regular season. The Pirates were up 2-0 at the bottom of the 1st inning and shut out their opponents in both the 2nd and 4th innings. Despite their early lead, the Pirates found themselves overcome by their opponents and fell 2-16. 

Graham Hutton batted in 1 run, 1 hit, and 1 RBI for the Pirate team. Noah Hernandez saw 1 hit, and Jaden Jackson collected 1 RBI. Trey Dunlap also scored 1 run. Hutton and Hernandez successfully stole 1 base apiece. In field stats, catcher Reid Morris led the way for the Pirates with 6 putouts and 4 assists. Hutton collected 5 putouts, and Patrick Gross saw 4. Zavier Solano recorded 1 putout and 1 assist. Christian Alfonso and Hernandez added 1 putout for the Pirates, and Dunlap provided 1 assist. At the mound, Dunlap pitched 4.2 innings and recorded 5 strikeouts, Morris pitched 1 inning and recorded 3 strikeouts, and Hutton pitched 0.1 inning and recorded 1 strikeout.
 
Next game is the Class 2A District 13 Quarterfinals versus the Brevard HEAT, starting at 6:00 PM at USSSA Space Coast Complex in Melbourne.
