LS Last Week of School Schedule

Marie Campione (lk)
From Head of LS Barbara Mohler: Dear Lower School Parents, I would like to share a few details as we approach the final days of this school year.

The last day of class for grades pre-kindergarten through grade three will be communicated to you by your child’s homeroom teacher. For grades four and five, the last day of class is Wednesday, May 27.  Online Closing Exercises will take place as shown below. Please watch your email for an invitation to a Google Meet.  Award certificates and medals will be distributed at the drive-through on May 29 (see next paragraph).

Grade 4 - Thursday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m.
Grade 5 - Friday, May 29 at 10:30 a.m.

End of Year Drive-Through:
  • We invite everyone to a special drive-through per the schedule below at the Lower School Parking Area Circle to drop off items that still need to be delivered (school work, library books, etc.) and wave your summer farewells.
  • A Yearbook for each family (including any extras that were ordered in the fall) and Promotion Certificates for grades one through five will be distributed at this time to the oldest child in the family.
  • If you have more than one lower school child in your family, please come at the time that is scheduled for the oldest lower school child.
  • Faculty and staff manning the drive will be wearing masks and gloves.
When:  Friday, May 29
Who:    Grades Pre-K through Grade 1 -  1:00 pm to 2:00 p.m.
             Grades 2 through 5 -  2:00 pm - 3:00 p.m.

We hope to see everyone on Friday, May 29 at the drive-through, but if you cannot be there at the appointed time to pick up your family’s yearbook and/or certificates, we will save them for you.  We will either arrange a time for pick up or you may get the yearbook and/or certificates when school begins in the fall.

Please remember to have your child(rend) complete the Summer Work to keep skills sharp before fall classes begin
  • Summer Math: Students entering grades one through five complete the Summer Math Review Book. The book was included with your child’s belongings, which you picked up from school at the end of April.  If you need to order another book, details on how to order the book are on our website on the Summer Work tile. Please have your child bring the completed book to his/her teacher the first week of school.
  • Summer Reading:  Students entering grades one through twelve are required to complete a summer reading program. The Summer Reading list is located on our website.
See you on May 29th!
