The Watercolor Lagoon
From Ms. Sherrier, MS/US art teacher: Drawing inspiration from our lagoon and surrounding wildlife, Studio 9-12 explored watercolors. We went as a class to the dock and took lots of pictures of the water, beach, boats and greenery. The students then returned to the studio, experimented with watercolor techniques, and began painting their lagoon-scapes. We discussed wash, blocking, blending and detail works as well as realistic textures and colors while creating the paintings. *eNews: Click the headline to see more!
