About

Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts

Theatre classes take place in the beautiful 800 seat Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts.  The theatre boasts a state of the art lighting system, 36 channel sound board, 20 wireless mics, a customizable projection system and a fully equipped construction shop.  Middle school students have the opportunity to take either Beginning Acting or Theatre Arts. Upper school students can hone their performance skills in our Advanced Acting classes and through Independent Studies Courses. Technical Theatre students, led by Broadway-trained faculty, have the chance to delve into all areas of theatre production including scenic construction, lighting, sound and projection. Theatre students put on at least two full scale stage productions each year, when the Middle and Upper School thespians have the opportunity to share their skill sets.
