Varsity Baseball Rallies Past Defenders
Varsity Baseball defeated Lake Worth Christian School in Boynton Beach 6-5 to take the lead in the seventh inning on 4/2/19.
The Pirates got their bats going quick, scoring two runs in the first, two runs in the third and one run in the fourth. Lake Worth Christian put up a fight scoring three runs in the fifth inning but the Pirates still managed to pull out the victory.
The game was tied at five with the Pirates batting in the top of the seventh when Michael Mangieri reached on an error. Mangieri stole second base and then stole third base. Anand Chundi, facing a 1 and 2 count, hit a line drive single into right center, scoring Michael Mangieri for the go ahead run.
Casey Richey threw a complete game pitching seven innings earning the win for the team. Casey allowed five runs over seven innings striking out five with no walks.
