Orientations for New MS Students

The faculty and staff of Saint Edward's Middle School are excited to welcome all new and returning students on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 20, 2019. New students include all 6th grade students (rising from our own Saint Edward's Lower School and from other schools) and 7th and 8th grade students new to Saint Edward's School.

There will be two separate orientations.

Orientation for 7th and 8th grade students NEW TO SAINT EDWARD'S SCHOOL will be on Monday, August 19 from 8-10 am. This orientation will be led, primarily, by returning Middle School students. New students will meet teachers, learn about activities and sports, organize lockers, and take a personalized tour.

New students should plan to be dropped off by the fountain in front of the library at 8:00 am. Pick-up is in the same place at 10:00 am. Students should dress casually. Students will have time to set up lockers so they should bring a backpack with books and locker accessories (if wanted/needed). Please do not use any type of adhesive on the lockers. Magnets are the best.

The next orientation is for ALL 6th GRADE STUDENTS (even those that went to Saint Edward's School last year in 5th grade). This event will take place on Monday, August 19 from 1-4 pm.

Students should be dropped off by the fountain in front of the library at 1:00 pm. Students will meet with their advisors, review schedules, participate in a computer training, and take another tour of the campus. Students should dress casually and bring a swimsuit and towel in addition to their computer. As we will be organizing lockers at orientation, students should also bring a backpack with books and locker accessories (if needed/wanted). Please do not use any type of adhesive in the lockers. Magnets are the best.
