US Students Learn More About the Dangers of Vaping

SB (lk)
Parents: The Assist team gave a presentation to upper school students about the recent vaping lung disease news. The Center for Disease Control is currently researching cases of a mysterious lung disease found in roughly 200 cases across the country. Scientists are linking vaping devices as the underlying cause. Please take a moment to talk with your child about the dangers of vaping. Research shows that when families have clear expectations about substances, children are more likely to talk with you openly and follow those guidelines. The Assist team is a group of trained faculty members who address substance use prevention and early intervention with students. If you would like more information, please reach out to our school counselor, Sam Borkovic, at sborkovic@steds.org or 772-492-2218.
