Varsity Swimming Participates in Westminster Academy Invitational

On 9/14/19, varsity boys and girls swimming competed in the Westminster Academy Invitational in Fort Lauderdale. 

Teams participating in the meet were Saint Edward's School, King's Academy, Calvary Christian Academy, Clearwater Central Catholic School, South Florida HEAT, Westminster Academy, Trinity Christian Academy, Westminster Christian School, and Highlands Christian School.

Highlights for Saint Edward's School: Alexandra Stern placed 2nd (2:20.52) in the Girls 200 Yard Individual Medley. In the Girls 50 Yard Freestyle, Stern also placed 3rd in the Girls 500 Yard Free with an improved Finals time of 5:22.41.

Faith Mead placed sixth (28.16) out of 35 competitors, with teammates Kate Kedem (32.95) and Addison Logemann (35.44) posting impressive times as well. Mead also placed 10th out of 26 swimmers in the Girls 100 Yard Freestyle with an improved time of 1:01.12.

The following swimmers had improved Finals times:  Christopher Powell - Boys 200 Yard Freestyle (2:41.75), Ben Evans - Boys 50 Yard Freestyle (38.21), Ray Taft - Boys 100 Yard Backstroke (1:48.64), Addison Logemann - Girls 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:44.55), and Alex Roberts - Boys 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:28.90).


Next meet will be on 9/19/19 at home versus Covenant Christian School, starting at 7:00 PM.
