Triumphant Cross Country Celebrates Senior Night
Varsity cross country held their senior night at Pirate Stadium on 10/1/19. Joining Saint Edward's School in the meet were Brevard HEAT, Covenant Christian School, and Master's Academy of Vero Beach. The Pirates cross country team charged ahead of the pack, with both the girls and boys teams winning dual meets.
The girls were led by Elise Mallon, with a time of 22:26. Savanna Ware and Ellie MacMullan had excellent runs, but a season-best from Bridget Nelson pushed the Lady Pirates to victory.
The boys defeated the Brevard HEAT 29-30 in a close meet that featured a season-best for Mac Carnell (19:40). Liam Kavolius (19:30) led the Pirates, but teammates Christopher Schulze and Aidan Taylor were not far behind. Both Leon Main (21:17) and 8th grader Luke Damiani (21:11) ran personal bests in the race.
