Varsity Swimming Regional Competition Results
The varsity swimming team traveled to Lake Highland Prep in Orlando on 11/2/19 for the Class 1A Region 3 Swimming Meet.
For the boys individual events, Alex Roberts swam excellent times in both the 200-yard Freestyle (2:21.39) as well as the 500-yard Freestyle (6:23.54).
In the girls individual events, Faith Mead placed 7th in the 100-yard Freestyle (59.90), improving her time from districts. Mead also finished 16th in the 50-yard Freestyle (27.58).
In the 500-yard freestyle, Alexandra Stern showed an impressive drop in time (5:15.94) from her district finish to place 2nd. Stern also captured 2nd place in the 200-yard Freestyle (2:01.26) and has qualified to compete the Class 1A State Championship meet in both events.

Overall, the girls team finished the meet in 14th place.The girls relay team consisting of Faith Mead, Alexandra Stern, Selma Memet, and Laurel Logemann showed a great improvement in their times from the district meet. The team's quick lane times helped them secure 13th place in the Medley Relay (27:17.12) and 16th place in the Freestyle Relay (2:01.00).
In the girls individual events, Faith Mead placed 7th in the 100-yard Freestyle (59.90), improving her time from districts. Mead also finished 16th in the 50-yard Freestyle (27.58).
In the 500-yard freestyle, Alexandra Stern showed an impressive drop in time (5:15.94) from her district finish to place 2nd. Stern also captured 2nd place in the 200-yard Freestyle (2:01.26) and has qualified to compete the Class 1A State Championship meet in both events.
Next meet will be the Class 1A State Championship at Sailfish Splash Park and Aquatics Center in Stuart on 11/9/19, starting at 9:00 AM.
