Lady Pirates Hold First Weightlifting Meet of Season
The varsity girls weightlifting team hosted their first meet of the season in the Wachter Activities Center on 11/6/19 against Vero Beach High School.
The final score was Saint Edward's School 10 and Vero Beach High School 66.
Lifting at 101, Tyler Colgan (8th grade) benched 45, clean & jerked 45 for a total of 90lbs and 2nd place points.
Also at 101, Grace Rodriguez (8th grade) placed 1st while going 6 for 6 with best lifts of 55/55 for a total of 110lbs.
Becca Hurley (7th grade) placed 3rd at 129. She went 6 for 6 with best lifts of 50/45 and a 95 lb total.
Meagan Baker (8th grade) placed 3rd at 139, going 6 for 6 and hitting 50/50 for a 100lb total.
