TC Palm Announces Fall Sports All-Area Teams

The Treasure Coast Palm has revealed their selections for All-Area Teams for the following Fall Sports:

First Team, Girls Cross Country -
Elise Mallon, senior
Runner-up at the Wayne Cross Invitational, Mallon set a personal best time of 21:28.65 in October.

First Team, Girls Swimming -
Alexandra Stern, 8th grade
The district champion in the 200 and 500 freestyle, Stern captured 22nd and 23rd place respectively in the Class 1A state meet.
 
Honorable Mention, Football (Offense) -
Brennan Wolfe, junior, ATH

Honorable Mention, Girls Swimming -
Faith Mead, freshman

Honorable Mention, Girls Volleyball -
Alexa Soderman, sophomore

Coach of the Year -
Greg Zugrave, Girls Cross Country
Under Zugrave's guidance, the girls team reach the Class 1A state meet for the first time in the program's history. The girls cross country team placed 5th in the District 7-1A and Regional 4-1A meets and went on to place 31st in the state meet in Tallahassee.

In light of his selection as Coach of the Year for girls cross country, Coach Zugrave stated, "The boys and girls teams accomplished quite a bit [this year]. Their hard work and dedication despite relentless heat was impressive to watch. The girls team accomplished things that will not only stand the test of time in the school’s history but set the bar high for all the young ladies who looked up to them. It was a season we will never forget!"
