Spotlight on Varsity Girls Tennis

The 2019-20 season began with a promise of great things ahead for our varsity girls tennis team. Winning all four of their scheduled matches during the shortened tennis season, the Lady Pirates did a phenomenal job in all of their singles and doubles sets. The girls team was poised to be crowned division champions in the Treasure Lake Conference, having already defeated all of the other teams in their district. In their game versus rival John Carroll Catholic High School, the Lady Pirates shut out the Lady Golden Rams by winning all of the slated singles and doubles matches and walking away with a final score of 7-0.

The varsity girls tennis team is led on the court by head coach Chad Miller. The tennis coaches wish to share their thoughts about the season with their team.

Regarding this season's success, Coach Miller stated: "The girls tennis team finished their shortened season with a record of 4-0. After wins over all of the other schools in the Blue TLC division, the young team was destined for a bid at Regionals this year. With all of the starters returning next season, the Girls team will continue what they started this season. Excellent work this year, Lady Pirates!"

Coach Joseph Van Deinse also sent the following commendation to the girls team: "Congratulations, Pirates! We've ended the season undefeated! 4-0! And, TLC conference champs! We had some nice accomplishments in our short season. I look forward to working with you all again next year."

Congratulations to our Lady Pirates for their incredible victories during their undefeated season! We look forward to seeing what great things you will accomplish on the court next year.
