MS Science: Energetic Debate

MS students teamed up to debate the hot topic of Energy. Landon and Payton were members of the scientists' teams who opposed putting more money into renewable energy sources and reducing the money going into nonrenewable energy. They focused on Nuclear power, which does not produce greenhouse gases, is reliable, and can produce a significant amount of energy with one power plant. The team they were on won the debate in their class this year! Olivia and Fields were the citizens for the Affirmative team supporting renewable energy and discussed the amount of money that it brings to the economy and businesses who use renewable energy. Mikey was part of the Citizens team discussing the importance of fossil fuels and nuclear power. Both of the business teams which discuss the economic benefits of renewable and nonrenewable had great arguments. They included Wyatt, Sebby, and Amare (Negative Team) and Mark, Kaleb, and Rayne (Positive Team).
