Mental Illness Awareness Week: October 4-10

(lk)
This week is Mental Illness Awareness Week. We encourage you to have conversations with your friends and family about how to support young people who may be facing a challenge. We know that 1 in 6 young people experience some type of mental health disorder each year, and only 40% of those youth who are diagnosed actually get the help they need with a professional. The more we talk and learn about these issues, the better off our community will be. You can also reach out to our school counselors for additional support! Please remember that our two school counselors, Ms. Mahovetz and Mrs. Borkovic, are here to be a resource for families and students. They can also provide recommendations for community resources to take advantage of on the Treasure Coast. Mrs. Borkovic created a handy list of resources for upper school students to support your upper school experience! Visit the Wellness Resource Board tile for more resources.
