LS Has an Arctic Blast

Lower school students had an "Arctic blast" this week, despite our enviable latitude! Our pre-primary and primary grades had so much fun learning about polar bears, penguins, snowy owls and freezing cold weather as they honed their writing and speaking skills. First grade students are practicing their poetry recitations while pre-kindergarten students got to see how they measure up to an emperor penguin. Look closely and you may see the chill winds being chased away by pink and red construction paper as the courtyard is transformed from a freezing tundra to the epicenter of love as Valentine's Day approaches!
