Sixth Grade Virtual Visit with Harbor Branch Professor

For an hour last Monday, sixth grade English students attended college when they participated in a virtual presentation by Dr. Jim Masterson, professor and research scientist at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. Dr. Masterson complemented students’ reading of World Without Fish by outlining current issues in the commercial fishing industry and explaining the role aquaculture can play in preserving fish species and feeding a growing population. Their engagement was reflected in the constant stream of questions in the Webex chat.
