Varsity Boys Tennis Shuts Out Cougars
Varsity boys tennis faced Merritt Island Christian School on 2/18/21 in a home match at Riverside Park Tennis Courts. The Pirate team overwhelmingly defeated the Cougars in all of their matchups, achieving a 7-0 victory in single sets.
Winning singles matches for the boys were Taran Taylor (8-4), Jake Damiani (8-2), Jacob Chesley (9-7), Sebastian Fernandez (8-0) and Cole Hackenburg (8-2).
Winning exhibition singles matches for the Pirates were Max Brizzio (8-1), Nick Garcia (8-1) and Hunter Morgan (8-0).
Winning their #1 doubles match for the Pirates was the team of Taylor/Fernandez (8-6). Damiani/Chesley secured their #2 doubles match win 8-3.
