Freshmen Deliver on Persuasive Speeches

The freshmen English classes had their first foray into formal speechmaking with the Annual Persuasive Speech. Each of the 52 students was tasked with crafting an argument to win over their classmates on issues they were passionate about. From "Why Milk is Overrated" to "Why School Should Start at 9 am", the students showed their diversity, skill in research, and unique perspectives in their persuasions. Unfortunately, the continuing concern of COVID-19 prohibited the traditional semi-finalist round, but the English department would like to acknowledge the would-be semi-finalists:  Stone Colgan and Jessica Jiang

The three finalists are:
Grace Haller
Jasmine Nunez
Millicent Critchfield

The finalist will be chosen based on their scores from the first round to be revealed in April.
