Rollin', Rollin', Rollin': Drop Off and Pick Up

MJ
After three days of assessing the traffic patterns during carpool, we have identified some small changes that will instantly make everyone’s morning and afternoon run a little more smoothly. Please note:
  • Those families who have students in the Middle or Upper school may drop off all their children at the fountain. Faculty members will be on duty in the walkway to monitor students walking to the Lower School. Of course, families may still wish to drop off their Lower School students at the Lower School. Please note that families may choose to drop all their students at the Lower School.  Our goal is to make the morning carpool a one-stop journey for all families.
  • Consider having your child ride the bus. You can access the schedule and routes by clicking here.
  • Please proceed beyond the fountain for drop off, even if it means waiting for other children in front of you to gather their belongings.
  • Consider having your student’s backpack and lunch at their feet for the ride to school, rather than the trunk. Coming around to unload the back of the car is causing delays, and students often forget to close the trunk.
  • Please do not allow your children to exit the vehicle in any other area than the library loop. It is risky and dangerous for all of us.
  • We will be honoring a grace period in the mornings until Wednesday, August 25th, but to ameliorate the morning angst, consider leaving the house even 5 minutes earlier. It will make a difference!
Thank you in advance for your compliance with these changes. With MS sports starting next week and senior privileges on the horizon, along with these improvements, the morning and afternoon carpool will soon be efficient and routine.
