MS Cross Country Dominates 1st Home Meet

On 9/20/21, the middle school cross country team hosted their first home meet at Pirate Stadium. The Pirate team secured 2nd place overall with 28, and the Lady Pirate team captured 1st place overall with 12. Teams competing against the Pirates in the boys race were Sebastian Charter Junior High School (22), Master's Academy of Vero Beach (31), and Calvary Christian Academy of Port St. Lucie (68). Teams competing in the girls race against the Lady Pirates were Sebastian Charter Junior High School (15) and Calvary Christian Academy of Port St. Lucie (18).

Individual results for the Pirates:  Seventh-grader Charlie Corrigan sprinted past the competition on the field, winning 1st place. Teammates Reid Durham and Dean Sincavage helped the Pirate team with their respective 6th and 7th place finishes. Rounding out the top 15 finishers were Spencer Taft, 13th place; Matthew Stern, 14th place; and Jackson Colontrelle, 15th place.

Individual results for the Lady Pirates: Sixth-grader Nevin Waddell proved her stamina on the field with her 3rd place finish. Following closely behind and helping ensure the Lady Pirate victory were Isabella Peter in 4th place and Keira Carroll in 5th place.
