Varsity Boys Golf Competes in First SSAC Championship

For the first time in the program's history, the varsity boys golf competed in the Sunshine State Athletics Conference Championship held on 9/24/22 at the Cleveland Heights Golf Course in Lakeland. The Pirates finished 4th in the 18-hole event, with a team total of 334 points.

Leading the way for the Pirates was senior Eli Barin, who shot 74 and finished 6th individually in the tournament. Freshman Brandon Cochrane shot a 78 and finished tied for 12th place in the field of 65. Rounding out the scoring for the Pirate team were juniors Will Russell (90/26th place) and Harrison Hardin (92/30th). Also competing for the Pirates, eighth-grader Weston Mead shot a 93 to finish in 32nd place. 

 
Next match is away on 9/26/22 against the Brevard HEAT at the Spessard Holland Golf Course in Melbourne Beach, starting at 3:30 PM.
