Varsity Boys Soccer Places 3rd in 2nd Annual Indian River Cup

The varsity boys soccer team competed in the Second Annual Indian River Cup Tournament recently at Pirate Stadium, hosting Vero Beach High, Master's Academy of Vero Beach, and Sebastian River High School. In the play-off round of the tournament on 12/16/22, the Pirates faced off against the Vero Beach High School Indians. A competitive game until the finish, the Pirates ultimately fell to the Indians 1-2 in double overtime. Scoring the lone goal for the Pirates was William Kourakis off an assist from Jah Jeune.

In the consolation game on 12/17/22, the Pirates took on the Patriots from Master's Academy of Vero Beach. In a thrilling match-up, the Pirates toppled the Patriots 2-1 to capture 3rd place in the tournament. Kourakis scored a goal for the Pirates and provided an assist for teammate Jeune's goal. Kourakis's efforts on the field throughout the tournament netted him a spot on the Indian River Cup All-Tournament Team.
