MS Boys Basketball's Blue Team Soars Past Morningside

On 1/5/23, the blue team for middle school boys basketball faced off at home against Morningside Academy for their first game back after the winter break. Despite getting off to a slow start in the 1st quarter, the Pirates were able to keep the scoring close with a strong defensive effort, and they quickly took the lead back at halftime. The 3rd quarter was fast and furious with the lead changing back in forth in what was developing into an exciting contest. The Pirates outscored the Eagles in the 4th quarter to ensure an impressive 47-38 victory.

Jayzere Cannon had a spectacular offensive day for the Pirate team, scoring 29 points. Leading the team at point guard, Trey Dunlap added 12 points. Adding points offensively, Jack Curley, Charlie Corrigan, and Cesar Dato-Slattery were also huge contributors on the defense, helping the Pirates collect their 5th win of the season.
