March 18 Isn't Just for Leprechauns

Got a green thumb? March 18 isn't just for the luck 'o the Irish -- it's also a day to share your love of the Indian River Lagoon. Even if houseplants don't stand a chance in your home, you have an opportunity to play an important role in improving our precious waterways. Through a partnership with ORCA, local lagoon lovers will gather at 9 a.m. at DeSoto park to plant species along the water's edge that will protect the shoreline and all of the baby critters who rely on places to hide and grow.
