Varsity Boys Lacrosse Overtakes Montverde Academy
The varsity boys lacrosse team traveled to Montverde on 3/24/23 to take on Montverde Academy. Despite only leading by 1 goal in the 1st quarter, the Pirates shut down the Eagles in the 2nd and 3rd quarters to lead 14-5 going into the 4th quarter. The Pirates emerged as the ultimate victors, winning 17-6 over the Eagles.
Taking charge on the field for the Pirate team were Ricky Savage with 5 goals and Ford Norris with 2 goals and 5 assists. Reed Sternberg collected 2 goals and 1 assist, and teammate Keegan Nyman recorded 1 goal and 2 assists. Will Russell added 2 goals toward the Pirate victory. At goal, Kieran Colgan had 6 saves on 12 shots on goal.
