Varsity Baseball Bats in Senior Night Win Over Bulldogs

The varsity baseball team celebrated their Senior Night on Blue Diamond Field on 3/27/23 in a competitive matchup against Berean Christian School. The Pirates led 2-1 in the first 2 innings and found themselves tied with the Bulldogs in the 3rd and 4th innings. Down by 1 in the 5th inning, the determined Pirates held the Bulldogs to a scoreless 6th inning. Tyler Beare, credited with a no-decision, pitched a solid 6 innings for the Pirates, giving up 5 hits, 6 strikeouts, and 1 earned run. Alex Roberts came in for Beare in the 7th and pitched a scoreless inning. At bat, Roberts scored the walk-off run from a wild pitch in the bottom of the 7th inning to earn the Pirates their first win of the season at 6-5.  Also contributing to the Pirate win were Trey Dunlap, Beare, Brady McCollom and Grant Domenech, who all had 2 hits apiece.
