Rose Papadopoulos: Senior Spotlight

1) Year you became a Pirate: 2020
2) Top three favorite things you participated in at SES: Literature in Translation Club, Mu Alpha Theta and Social Justice Club.
3) Favorite SES memory: My favorite SES memory is probably PALS Day. I absolutely love PALS Day and think it is such a beautiful tradition that SES offers!
4) Favorite class and/or teacher: I truly loved all of my classes and teachers at SES. From the math department who taught me to love and appreciate math, to the English department who taught me to crave literature and love to write, to the science department who encouraged me to look at the world through a scientific lens, to the History department who taught me to dive deep into our past and identify the parallels to our modern society. Each of these departments played a role in the person I am today. For that, I am eternally grateful.
5) Proudest SES achievement: My proudest SES achievement is probably how I learned to work through the challenges that COVID put in my way and be a successful student both online and in person.
6) Piece of advice for current SES students: I would encourage all students to be in constant communication with their teachers. This truly made a difference in my high school experience, as I was able to form meaningful relationships with all of my teachers!
