After School and Summer Programs at SES

Join us as we set sail on many wonderful, new adventures this year! We are excited to announce that our after-school and summer programs (formerly known as Beyond the Bell and External Studies programs) are taking on a new name: Jolly Roger Adventures!

With the new name comes new leadership as well: Morgan Smith '07 has been an integral part of our external studies programs, bringing great energy and new ideas. Now she is bringing that enthusiasm to all of our summer and after-school programs as our new Director of Auxiliary Programs. We are thrilled to have Morgan in this new role at Saint Edward's School!

Whether you are joining us for the first time, or are a family who has experienced many of our afterschool and summer programs before, we are excited to have you!

  • Summer Camp Programs Catalog 2021
Our summer camps offer boys and girls of all ages a chance to grow and thrive outside traditional classrooms. Jolly Roger Adventures at Saint Edward’s School in beautiful Vero Beach, Florida provides opportunities for campers to have fun, learn and be challenged.
Our after-school and summer programs are uniquely planned to manage the various challenges that COVID-19 has presented. Many of our programs can instantly pivot to a digital format, so we will be ready for whatever the future brings. And, if you are currently learning from home, you can attend select sessions virtually. Have fun exploring, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

After School at SES

Enrolling your child in a Jolly Roger Adventures program after school enables you to enrich your child’s education and expand their world.  Our after-school programs offered each fall and spring semester at the end of the school day and on some weekends. We offer a wide range of academic, athletic, recreational and artistic disciplines. Many of our after-school programs are taught by Saint Edward’s teachers and coaches.  We even have several professional instructors from the community that come to Saint Edward’s to share their talents with our students. Jolly Roger Adventures after-school programs have something for everyone!

How Does Your Garden Grow? Session I

This summer program will teach children about the way things grow in a down-to-earth approach. Learn about bees, a flower's favorite pollinator, and investigate the world of worms. Come have fun and play in the dirt, too! *Campers must be potty trained*

    Olympic Games

Stand atop the podium this summer in Saint Edward's version of the Olympics. Campers will be on the move and medal in team sports, have fun learning the history of the Olympics and create flags from different countries!

    Happy Holidays

Let's celebrate the holidays over the summer! Each day we will explore a holiday through creative crafts and food. We will learn some decorating techniques for cupcakes, cookies, and cakes. We will create a "how-to" book so that your child can recreate and explore their ideas all year long!

Real Coding & Entrepreneurship Session I

Want to learn to code? Are you creative or a lover of games? Well, this is the camp for you! In this camp, you'll learn to use modern coding techniques to turn your creative ideas into apps or games. And, you'll do it by actually releasing and contributing to real iPhone Apps (real as in on the AppStore) with your friends, for a good cause! Through fun activities and small group sessions, you'll learn to code. Then you'll build real apps for a select group of local, FL-area nonprofits and small businesses. Last summer's students worked on real apps that are being used right now by restaurants, a mental health charity, a New York non-profit, and a charter school in the UK. At the end of the week, you'll have contributed to real apps on the AppStore that anyone can download, you'll have the lifelong skills of a coder, and you'll have a certificate showing all the extraordinary things you accomplished. More importantly, you'll leave knowing how to build your own tech going forward.
