Ecological Studies of Sharks and Rays in the Indian River Lagoon

Location: Waxlax (Advisory) - Auditorium - Waxlax
Amherst College alumni will visit Saint Edward's for a guest speaking event on April 8th at 10:00 am in the Waxlax. 
 
A scientist from Harbor Branch, Mike McCallister, will talk about their research program - Ecological Studies of Sharks and Rays in the Indian River Lagoon. Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served. 
There will then be an optional opportunity for anyone interested to make a short visit to the lagoon dock to see the aquaculture clams and oysters, in addition to a diversity of lagoon specimens and water/seagrass sampling methodology for biodiversity studies in classes.
