Hands On Graphic Design! Session I

Interested in drawing, art, or design? This is the hands-on design camp for students who are always doodling, and want to learn how they might use art professionally! In this camp, you'll complete an actual, professional design project and run a media campaign for a local nonprofit or small business. First, you'll learn how to be a better artist and designer through a series of fun activities led by a skilled instructor. Then, you'll learn the basics of modern digital design on web platforms, including Canva, Pixlr, and Adobe. You'll touch on color choice, contrast, composition, digital typography, and more. Finally, you will earn your first real design credit and learn how professional graphic designers work by creating an ad campaign for a Florida nonprofit. Previous students have created posters, social media campaigns, and other collateral seen by thousands. You can start building your design portfolio while you're still in school! *Computer required for this course.*
