Marble Run, Anyone?

Kelly Hudson
First-grade students learned about the force of gravity by designing a marble run. Working with partners, they used cardboard, tools, tape, and a lot of ingenuity to design their marble runs. Students constructed a “slant” to demonstrate the law of gravity in action, without any push or pull mechanisms to get the marble moving. Keen engineering and collaboration skills were highlights of this exciting Lower School science challenge! Click on this link to see a marble run in action.
