Senior Marcus Fini Nominated for Philanthropy Work
Congratulations to Marcus Fini, who was nominated by Crossover Mission for Indian River's Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy for his work tutoring peers locally and in South Africa. Marcus believes that service and philanthropy are about stepping out of one's comfort zone to develop deep relationships with people of all backgrounds. He says, "Too many people don't see the importance of developing relationships with people who are not like them. It is essential to solving the problems we face as a society." Marcus will be joining other high school students from the county in November to celebrate a spectrum of community service initiatives.
