Varsity Girls Weightlifting Team Qualifies for Districts

The varsity girls weightlifting team competed in their last regular meet of the season on 1/9/20 at Fort Pierce Central High School in Fort Pierce. Competing in the meet along with Saint Edward's School were Fort Pierce Central, Okeechobee High School, and John Carroll Catholic High School. Fort Pierce Central placed first with 73 points, Okeechobee received second place with 41 points, and Saint Edward's tied for third with John Carroll at 14 points.

Grace Rodriguez (8th grade) went 6 for 6, with lifts of 60/60/120, and placed 2nd in her weight class.

Tyler Colgan (8th grade) hit personal records across the board with 65/70/135, placing 1st in her weight class. 

Meagan Baker (8th grade), Colgan, and Rodriguez have all qualified to lift for the Lady Pirates at the FHSAA Class 1A, District 15 meet.

Next meet is the Varsity Girls Weightlifting District Competition at Frostproof High School in Frostproof on 1/22/20 at 5:00 PM.
