US Math Students Compete at Olympiad

Chad Miller
The Saint Edward's School math team competed in the 2020 Mathematics Olympiad held on February 21 at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce. For the competition, students are divided into groups of four. Each team then competes, first, by taking an individual written test. This is followed by a team round where each 4-person team must collectively solve 10 questions. Out of the 22 teams competing from the Treasure Coast area, the two Saint Edward's teams finished 6th and 11th place. The competitors included: Casey Richey, Jack Zoltak, Charlotte Feagin, Ross Sams, Leo Yin, Jacob Chesley, Tobias Tettamanti, Harry Zhang, Kylie Oakes, Aidan Taylor, Elise Mallon, and Drew Eidemueller.
