Academic World Quest Team Conquers Again

TM
All the long weekends of study paid off yet again this year. The Academic World Quest team traveled to Palm Beach last weekend to take on the regional competition. SES has dominated this competition for more than a decade. Eight students and Mr. Mitchell now are headed to the national competition in Washington DC this coming April. Three years ago in an overtime session, our students came in second place at the national competition, which brings winning regional teams from
every state in the union. For the next six weeks, the team will continue to study and prepare, and, while all 8 will travel to Washington, only 4 will compete.

This victory represents countless hours of study done mostly on time when students are not on school time. Victory is never achieved without sacrifice. The team includes Katie Croom, Alejandro Wang, John Sarbak, George Sowles, Zayna Shaikh, Colby Stebbins, Sean Motto,Toby Tettamanti and Charlotte Yates.
