7th-grade English Museum Challenge Paper

Being confined at home during the pandemic doesn’t mean that life has to be uncultured. Museums around the world challenged art fans to post photos of themselves recreating their favorite works of art from the safety of their homes. 7th-grade English students compared and contrasted one of these artistic interpretations provided by the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. After sharing their findings in virtual breakout rooms, students then wrote a short paper commenting on the similarities and differences between the two artworks. This assignment complemented their work in art class, where students actually chose a famous artwork and recreated it.
