The  Architectural Cup Project

The Task: Create a clay cup or mug that exemplifies/relates to a particular architectural style. Some examples of potential art periods to explore are: 
The caves of Lascaux | Mesopotamia | Egyptian| Greek | Etruscan | Roman | Byzantine | Romanesque | Gothic | Renaissance | Baroque | Art Nouveau | Bauhaus | Modernist | etc…
Students looked into their chosen period in art history, noted the themes, styles, motifs, function and design principles, and used this information while building their cups/mugs.
