Varsity Girls Basketball Forces Jaguars into Overtime

On 11/30/23, the varsity girls basketball team traveled to Port St. Lucie to take on the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguars. The Pirates remained competitive throughout the entire game, working steadily on the court to bring the score within 3 points toward the end of the 4th quarter. A buzzer-beating 3-pointer courtesy of Sommer Soderman sent the determined Pirates into overtime. The thrilling game remained close in the overtime segment, but the Pirates ultimately fell to the Jaguars in a very close 52-56.

Chase Nelson led the scoreboard for the Pirate team with 18 points, followed closely by Soderman with 12 and Avonti Jennings with 10. Gaby Collazo and Caitlin Moscrip recorded 4 points each, and Meagan Baker and Halle Grella tallied 2 points.
 
Next game is away on 12/1/23 at Cocoa Beach Jr. Sr. High School in Cocoa Beach, starting at 5:30 PM.
