Buzzer Beater for MS Girls Basketball's Grey Team Secures Win

The middle school girls basketball's grey team traveled to Hobe Sound on 1/10/24 to take on the Pine School. A fierce game of back and forth saw the Pirates down 12-13 against the Knights with 7 seconds to go. A well-timed bank shot by Elis Rey Nelson with 2 seconds remaining sealed the thrilling 14-13 victory for the Pirate team.

An entire team effort ensured the win for the Pirates, with all of the athletes showing great teamwork on the floor. Nelson, Linley Davis-Curley, Ava Roselli, Savannah Shambo, and Emmery Clarkson all took charge in the matchup, showing outstanding leadership and making vital plays on the court. Jaiya Hebig made a noticeable difference for the Pirate team in her first return-to-play game after previously being sidelined with an injury.

Next game is away on 1/16/24 at Master's Academy of Vero Beach, starting at 3:30 PM.
