Varsity Volleyball Takes Charge Against Cobras

Varsity girls volleyball hosted Fort Pierce Central High School in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center on 9/23/25. The Pirates might have fallen 19-25 in the 1st set to the Cobras, but the determined team shook that off to come back 25-20 in the 2nd set. The race for victory was on in the 3rd set, with the Pirates prevailing 27-25. The confident Pirate team put away their opponents in the 4th set 25-20 to claim the win.

Leading the Pirates in kills with 13 and aces with 4 was Nevin Waddell, who also tallied 1 assist and 17 digs. Margaret Fykes topped the charts in assists with 37, alongside her 2 kills, 1 ace, 6 digs, and 1 block. Makena Rodriguez recorded 33 digs, 9 kills, 1 ace, and 1 assist toward the victory. Also keeping the ball in play was Grace Fykes with 21 digs, and teammate Grace Clemente provided 16 digs, 7 kills, and 1 ace. Also putting forth a fantastic effort on the court for the team were Alice Crean with 6 kills and 1 dig, Khlieo Perez with 4 kills, and Maddie Moscrip with 1 ace and 2 digs.
 
Next game is away on 9/25/25 at John Carroll Catholic High School in Fort Pierce, starting at 6:00 PM.
