Varsity Football Brings Down Cornerstone Charter to Move on to Regional Semis

The varsity football team hosted Cornerstone Charter Academy on 10/30/25 in Pirate Stadium for the SSAA Class 3A Regional Quarterfinals. The Pirates took down the Ducks on the field to claim a 42-21 victory and to ensure their spot in the Regional Semifinals.

The Pirates' offensive line paved the way for a very productive night for senior running back Ivan Kelly and sophomore quarterback Dylan Colontrelle, who combined for over 100 yards rushing. Connor O'Brien continued his productive season with 3 touchdown receptions on 10 catches and just under 200 yards.  The entire defense was on point all night, shutting down a powerful running attack from the Ducks. Colontrelle recorded an interception after making his first start at safety. Colton Freedman collected a fumble recovery as well late in the game to help secure the win.

Next game is the SSAA Regional Semifinals on 11/7/25 against Santa Fe Catholic High School in Lakeland, starting at 7:00 PM.
