Home Opener Against Cardinal Newman for Varsity Boys Lacrosse

The varsity boys lacrosse team opened their regular season on 2/10/26 at home on the Michael J. Mersky Field against Cardinal Newman High School. The Pirates followed the Crusaders closely in the 1st quarter, trailing only 1-2, but saw the gap increase to 1-5 by halftime. The determined Pirates netted 3 more goals in the 3rd quarter to bring the score closer at 4-7. Despite adding 2 more goals in the 4th quarter, the Pirates unfortunately fell to the Crusaders 6-11.

Connor O'Brien led the Pirates on the field, collecting 3 goals and 1 assist. Turner Barnett netted 2 goals, and Syrus Cooper added 1. Edwin Provancher made 9 saves at goal.

Additional gameday stats for the Pirate team include 16 groundballs, 5 faceoff wins, and 13 shots on goal.
 
Next game is at home on 2/13/26 versus Saint John Paull II High School, starting at 7:00 PM in Pirate Stadium.
