MS Track & Field Opens Season with Enthusiasm

The middle school track team launched its 2026 season with an explosive performance at the Pineapple Cove Middle School Track #1 meet at Pineapple Cove Classical Academy in Palm Bay. Many Pirate athletes made their competitive debuts, and incredible progress was made by the returning Pirate athletes. From the first whistle to the final relay, the Pirates displayed the grit and sportsmanship that define Saint Edward’s athletics, and lots of personal records were set.

In track events, Sebastian Holbrook finished the Boys 800m in 9th place with 2:53.92, and teammate Hartley Postlethwaite placed 13th in the same event with 3:03.07. Finn Ensio finished 11th in the Boys 1600m with 6:05.43 and placed 14th in the Boys 400m at 1:10.82. Corbin Kulczycki placed 14th in the Boys 1600m at 6:27.33. Kaydence Prochette finished 15th in the Girls 200m with 31.71.

In relay events, the team of Ensio, Ethan Gatzke, Holbrook, and Kulczycki finished 5th overall in the Boys 4x400 Relay (4:49.66). The Girls 4x100 Relay team of Lily Postlethwaite, Laura Lenzner, Kaelyn Miller, and Camille Torres placed 8th at 1:05.73.

In field events, H. Postlethwaite placed 9th in Boys Shot Put with a 6.81m mark, and L. Postlethwaite placed 10th in Girls Shot Put with her 6.02m throw. Ensio finished in 12th place in the Boys Long Jump with his 3.63m jump.
 
Next meet is the SCCAA Championship on 3/20/26, starting at 3:30 at Pineapple Cove Classical Academy in Palm Bay.
