Varsity Swimming Makes Splash at Heartland Invitational

The varsity swimming team headed to Lake Placid on 10/9/21 to take part in the Heartland Invitational hosted by Lake Placid High School. The determined Pirate teams went head-to-head with 8 other schools in both individual and team events.

Individual results for varsity boys swimming:  Alex Roberts, 5th place - 200 Yard Freestyle (2:13.18), 7th place - 500 Yard Freestyle (6:09.85); Matthew Burris, 20th place - 100 Yard Freestyle (1:12.79).

Individual results for varsity girls swimming:  Alexandra Stern, 1st place - 200 Yard Individual Medley (2:11.84), 1st place - 500 Yard Freestyle (5:07.53); Faith Mead, 2nd place - 100 Yard Freestyle (1:00.22), 3rd place - 50 Yard Freestyle (27.63); Caitlin Roberts, 19th place - 50 Yard Freestyle (32.17); Samantha Decker, 18th place - 100 Yard Freestyle (1:15.38), 20th place - 50 Yard Freestyle (32.54).

Team results for varsity girls swimming:  4th place in 200 Yard Medley Relay (2:11.52) - Mead, Stern, C. Roberts, Decker.

 
Next meet is away on 10/12/21 at Saint Andrew's School in Boca Raton, starting at 5:30 PM.
