Navy Team for MS Boys Basketball Finishes Season with Gameday Thriller

On 1/23/23, the middle school boys basketball's navy team played their last game of the season in the Wacther Activities Center against Benjamin Middle School. The teams traded baskets in the first quarter for a 6-6 tie, with Chase Colontrelle scoring 4 of his 6 points in that opening quarter. In the second quarter, Chris Curley poured in 8 of his 10  points to pull the Pirates out to a 17-8 lead at the half. The Buccaneers came roaring back in the third quarter to close the gap to 21-20. Jackson Parker tallied 2 vital points for the Pirates in that quarter. The fourth quarter saw a defensive struggle, with the Pirates holding their opponents to just 2 points. Kayleb Redmon scored 4 of his 7 points in the 4th to shut down the Buccaneers and close out the game 25-22. The navy team finished their season with an 8-2 overall record.
